Our Mission As Highland Park Elementary School PTA, we foster involvement from our families and our community to serve, volunteer, and contribute to enhance the quality of our students’ education. The mission of Highland Park Elementary School is to provide opportunities that ensure each student achieves his or her greatest potential.

What is PTA? PTA is an organization made up of parents, teachers and others who have an interest in children, families and schools. The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a partnership between parents and educators who strive to enhance student learning and enrich the lives of the students and teachers within the school. Highland Park PTA’s sole purpose is to advocate for your child’s education and well-being.

What does the PTA do? There are several ways that PTA supports our school:

• We advocate for our children by coordinating with teachers, administrators and staff to help provide programs and resources that are needed
• We provide our time and energy to the school by volunteering and organizing programs
• We fundraise for these programs that benefit the children at the school

Why should I join the PTA? The number one reason to join the Parent Teacher Association is to benefit your child. In doing so, you also help your school. Being a part of the PTA allows you to get connected with the school and to tap into a network of other other parents and teachers, building rapport, and allows your time and your voice to make a difference.

How can I join the PTA? Joining the HPPTA is easy! Membership to the Highland Park PTA is part of the school's community fund donation. By making a contribution to the community fund, you are automatically enrolled in Highland Park PTA. Visit our Community Fund page HERE.
