Parent Volunteer Substitutes
JOIN THE FORCE!! PARENT SUBSTITUTES NEEDED!!!
Who we are: We are volunteer parents or other caring adults in our student's life. We are our teachers’ relief team when they need to attend ARD and 504 meetings, trainings, etc. This provides you with an opportunity to get to know teachers you may not have met and learn more about our school. Also, for every shift you do, the school does not have to hire a sub which SAVES $$$$!
Time Commitment: Being a parent sub will usually require an hour or less and a maximum of 2 hours per shift. You will know the allotted time in advance and you will sign up for only a shift that fits your schedule that week. If you cannot do the requested shift, no worries! That's why we have a pool of volunteers! No formal training or meetings are required.
How to get involved: If you are interested in volunteering and/or learning more about this program, please contact Gretchen Crook at [email protected]. You will receive instructions on how to register with Austin Partners in Education which needs to be renewed annually for each campus.
