HOOT FAQ
Do we need a wristband for Hoot*?
Yes! To make the most of the event, a wristband gives an all-access pass to all the activities (except the Novelties shop, Spirit Store and food trucks). We want all HP families and neighbors to join in the fun, so we have wristbands for everyone!
*Adults don’t need a wristband to attend the event, ONLY to enjoy rides and games with your kids
Wristband scholarships available via the Scottie Support Fund here
How will I receive my wristband(s) that I purchase online?
All wristbands purchased online will come home in your eldest child’s folder. Check backpacks for the Hoot envelope!
Can I purchase wristbands in person before the event?
Yes! There will be in-person sales on Friday, Oct 3 at the PTA General Meeting after drop off as well as the following days:
Wednesday, Oct 15 at drop off and pick up
Thursday, Oct 16 at drop off and pick up
Friday, Oct 17 at drop off and pick up
Are there tickets this year if I don’t want to purchase a wristband?
Yes, but only available for purchase on the day of Hoot. If you don’t purchase an all-access wristband, you can purchase tickets (5-$5) to use for activities and novelty items. Novelty items can also be purchased with cash/credit card.
Can I volunteer for Hoot?
We changed things up a bit for our volunteers this year. We want our caregivers to relax and enjoy the event, so we have invited our larger HP community and vertical teams to run the activities!
If you are really eager to help, we would love to have you sign up for our day-of needs.

Do I need to donate anything this year?
No! We appreciate everyone's gracious donations over the last few years, but we have updated our activities so we don't have to rely on caregiver donations. Please just come and have fun!
Are there sponsorship opportunities for Hoot this year?
If you are Interested in supporting Hoot or other HP event traditions, as you may have done in the past, we’re excited to introduce a new, streamlined approach to “family sponsorships.” We understand the challenges of repeated asks throughout the year, and we want to make it easier for you to support our cherished HP traditions through Scotties Family Circle.
We invite families interested in making a one-time donation of $500 and above to reach out to Fuerza Linda Kitcher, our VP of Fundraising, at [email protected] to learn more.
